News & Notes

Great things are happening, and we are looking forward to many more. World

Show News: CRR folks and clients were fortunate to come home from the American Ranch Horse Association World Show in Murfreesboro, TN. with many World Titles, Reserve World Titles, and Top Ten finishes. After such fabulous results, we can hardly wait until next year. Hailey Cue extends a special thanks to Mrs. Mary Stassi for the use of "Ricco" in her 11 and under walk/trot class after Hailey's horse suffered a close nail issue. Also, thanks to Debbie and Sarah Smith for the great job they did handling CR Husler Scribble (now a Futurity Champion in two events.) and CR Scribblin Surprise in their halter classes. Congratulations to all three for the successful show they had at Murfreesboro, TN. The entire Missouri contingent did well at the ARHA show. Check it out on the MoRHA website. Another reason to look forward to next year, we just can't wait to see how Missouri surpasses 2008 results. To spice things up, Jessica persuaded our good friend, and her mentor, Mr. Jason Grimme of Washington, Indiana to attend the ARHA World Show. He and his stallion, "Smoke N Time", won top honors in the Reining Sweepstakes. Now he enjoys his rides on the motorized cooler that he won, when Jess lets him ride it, that is. In addition, Jason won the Senior Reining on Smoke and thanks to Jason for Noah Arch Angels' 5th place finish in the Reining Sweepstakes. We hope to see Jason take a break from some of his NRHA shows and spend a little time at the ARHA shows this season. Give it some thought please.

NRHA : CR Impressive Lites, aka "Sparkle" has continued to earn NRHA money under Jessica's guidance. They have also won several plaques this year. Sparkle also earned her first ApHC points, four in Reining and several in Western Pleasure. Way to go girls!Noah has continued to earn NRHA money with Jessica. All are looking forward to the October Slide at the NEC. Special thanks to Mr. Jason Grimme for all of his help and support, especially for putting up with Jessica. Pleasure Horses : Some of the finest Pleasure Horses in the area may be found at P & J Performance Horses, owned and operated by Paul and Jane Mareschall, of Foristell, MO. You can find Jessica, with Paul, showing these fine horses all over Missouri and Illinois. Watch for the big black and white Paint gelding that stands on his head for Jessica. Their next venue is the Illinois Paint Horse Breeders Futurity in Gordyville. Illinois on September 26th & 27th. Sarah Smith will be on hand to handle a weanling filly by Supreme Heir. Good .luck to all at this show. P & J Performance Horses has quality show horses for sale at all times. Standing: Supreme Heir, APHA Superior Halter Horse.

Training : Jessica has had the pleasure of training Fjords for Teresa Farley of Winfield, MO. Livvie and Ole are interesting characters and great representatives of the breed. Be  looking for them at Cuiver River State Park and at Missouri Trail Rider events with Teresa and her niece, Sammi. These delightful ladies love to talk Fjord, so be sure to ask them about the horses when you see them. Mary and Chris Stassi have sent all three of their great horses to CRR for some training this year. Mary has done very well with Ricco this show season but she always does. This one for trade, aka "Trader" has shown his ability and come a long way in a short time. Just a note, Trader is for sale. Look for him on the ARHA Horses for Sale website. Phantom, Chris' two year old is looking wonderful and it's a real treat to watch Chris ride him. They competed successfully at their first show in September. Look for them at the upcoming ARHA shows and  other places. Thanks for the opportunity to get to know these great horses. Other News : Congratulations to the Steve Paine Family on the arrival of RJ, an AQHA bay colt out of "Missys Billy Jack" by "Kip Eyed Harlan Dunit". He made his appearance on Mothers Day. The day before their 10 year old Chihuahua, Dixie, adorned them with her first two puppies. It was an interesting weekend. Taylor Payne and her mare, Little Ginger Lena are way up in the ARHA youth standings. Be on the look out for this team at upcoming ARHA shows. Keep up the great work girls. Good luck on your year end goals. Alex regretfully sent Cinnamon home to the Smiths, after being able to use her to get his 5 year old self ready to ride. Thanks to all of you for the loan. Alex has taken over Bob Marley and they've already attended their first show with fantastic results. Hailey gave Bob Marley to Alex and is now riding her new mount, a 3 year old pony named Sparky. She made her "Sparky" debut at the Gateway Show at Lincoln County Fairgrounds in halter in September. Again, they had a successful outing, and a great time was had by all.

Happy horsing around, good luck to you all, and be safe.
